About Stephanie Barrow
I was introduced to photography when I was very young. My father had a darkroom set up in our garage. He developed and printed black and white film. My father's vision didn't extend much past photographing my brother and I. I've had a camera of some sort in my hands since I was about 12. My first camera was a Kodak 110mm, it was all the rage, and begged my mom to have one. I remember people being amazed that I took so many good images. Photography was offered at my high school and I took it for two years. After getting my first job, one of my first purchases was a Pentax K1000. I also took photogaphy in college obtaining my AA degree in art. My husband Jim convinced me to go digital. He gave me a Cannon Powershot G1 as my first digital camera. He has since upgraded me to Nikon D70, Nikon D200, and Nikon D2X. We gave the Powershot G1 to some friends, and he has added Sony Alpha A100, and a Cannon Powershot G7. I'm learnig to take photos just for the sheer joy of making images as opposed to just capturing memories.
