About Lynne Hough
I grew up in Indiana, but lived most of my life in Florida after my family moved in 1974. I was a teenager. The move was tough. The loss was great. That's when I realized the value of visually documenting what I love. I saw how much the world could change in the blink of an eye. So I grabbed my little 110 film camera and never looked back. I am completely self-taught, straight from my soul. I document beauty as well as the unusual; and sometimes tragic. I've worked as a photojournalist and owned my own business. I discovered Better Photo around 2004 while searching for an online site to display and store some of my favorite pictures. All these years later, the photos I uploaded here so long ago remain safe and sound, in their original quality and size. This sounds like an ad. But it's not. I was homeless for 9 months in 2023 due to the economy and rent prices soaring. One of the biggest joys of my recovery and rebuilding my life is coming back here and seeing my work. I just recently started shooting again. There is a lot of comfort in adding my new photos next to my old. Most of all, I have confirmed photography is a spiritual experience - finding God's beauty, capturing it and sharing it forever. I am grateful for the camera always at my side, and my heart - always in my eye.
