About Michael J. Hoth
I'm a professional photographer from Ripon, WI, now retired living in Washington, DC. I served in the United States Navy for 23 years, where I worked in the Combat Information Center and often served as the ship's intel photographer. In my off time from the Navy, I shot weddings and in-home portraits (they were big in the late '70s). After the Navy, I took a break from photography for a number of years. In 2006 I moved to Virginia Beach and started working for Canon, providing over the phone technical support for professional photographers, troubleshooting, photo analyses, and determination for repair for members of Canon Professional Services. During my last 2 years there I work in Canon Cinema EOS support, working with cinematographers on Canon's new Cinema EOS products. During my time at Canon, I also worked freelance taking nature, wildlife and architectural images, which I sold privately. Now that I'm retired I still shoot a lot but mostly for pleasure, I have donated some of my work to charities for them to resell. http://www.mjhphotoart.com
